Born and bred in Hamburg, Germany, I have been working as a freelance linguist for over 15 years. Following several years of studying and working in Manchester and Dublin, I have been mainly based in Berlin since 2012.
As well as holding an MA in Translation Studies (Dublin City University) and an M.A. in English Studies and Political Science (University of Hamburg), I am a certified translator for plain language. Previously, I worked e.g. as a project manager in a political communications agency and in a non-profit organisation. Since 2010, I have been a member of the Irish Translators' and Interpreters’ Association (ITIA).
